Shaker Hill Kitchens Needs Volunteers
Shaker Hill Kitchens at 17 Thornton Avenue in Saco is looking for volunteers. This cafe, bakery, and shared-use community kitchen is owned and operated by the York County Shelter Programs. They offer full breakfasts and lunches at their cafe, a large variety of baked goods, and free wi-fi. Shaker Hill Kitchens also delivers brown bag lunches and provides catering services onsite and throughout the southern Maine area for various clubs and organizations, and special events such as showers, weddings, book club discussions, lunch meetings, special dinners, etc.
Volunteers are needed to help with various tasks including transportation. Shaker Hill Kitchens is open Tuesday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
NEW VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY
A volunteer is needed to help sell baked goods on Saturdays in Biddeford (beginning
February 26, 2011) at an indoor farmer’s market from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Please call Martha or Nancy if you can help out at Shaker Hill Kitchens at 283-3128.

Volunteer Help Also Needed Includes:
Drivers to deliver catering jobs, if they are
willing to be on call. All they have to do is
to say “no” when Shaker Hill Kitchens calls
and they can’t do it. There is no pressure.
Deliveries are from Saco to Sanford, Biddeford, South Portland, and Old Orchard
Beach.
